The location

Just 5 km away from the city of Argostoli, in a small village on the slopes of Mount Ainos, in the western part of the traditional village Peratata you will find the complex of Siora Maria Studios. On the hill north the village the fortress of St. George stands, dated back to the 12th century. The locals simply call it the «Castle», and were the capital of Kefalonia until 1757 when Argostoli became the new capital.

On the hill outside the Castle you will find the picturesque village of castle with stoned paved alleys. There you can enjoy the beautiful view sitting under the old tree or over drinks or food in the refectories of the village. The view from the hill, much less from the castle is breathtaking.

Just 1 km from Siora Maria Studios, along a scenic trail (for nature lovers) you will find the Mycenaean Tombs of Mazarakata, one of the most important historical sites of the island, a sample of the ancient Greek civilization. It is the largest cemetery in the Mycenaean period whose ruins prove the era of Mycenaean civilization flourished in this region.

The access to Siora Maria Studios is very easy via the existing road network. The rooms are just 8 km away from the airport, 7 km from the main port of Argostoli and a few meters from the national road that connects the other ports to the city, where there is a local bus stop.
